This "Celebration of Healing" will offer:
* A weekend of art and music, performed by Grammy-award winner Bill Miller. Bill is a Native American (Mohegan) role model who has devoted his life to recovery and hopefulness, based on his own experiences with turmoil. He has toured with Tori Amos and Pearl Jam. Bill is often called upon to minister to communities that have been affected by violence, and it is extremely rare to be able to spend an entire weekend in his company. His music style is diverse, and ranges from folk, rock, traditional Native American, gospel/praise, and blues.
* Discussions and workshops with curent leaders and experts in trauma recovery.
* Spiritual cleansing/purification sweatlodge ceremony administered by a Sundance Priest/Holy Man from the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribe of Oklahoma, for those who wish to participate.
